Objective
To express the love of God and provide tangible support to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by addressing practical needs, enhancing care for preterm infants, and supporting distressed mothers.
Summary
Following their impactful visit in 2021, the Love Jar Foundation returned to the NICU of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in 2022 to reaffirm their commitment to supporting preterm infants, their caregivers, and the medical staff.
The Love Jar Team undertook an exceptional fundraising initiative to provide essential supplies to the NICU. Items such as water, diapers, kettles, wall clocks, thermometers, canisters, cot sheets, and other necessities were donated to improve the care environment. A heartfelt lunch was also provided to the nurses, recognizing their unwavering dedication to the infants.
Additionally, the Foundation extended its love and care by settling the arrears of four mothers who were unable to pay for their children’s medical care. This act of compassion provided immense relief and renewed hope to families in desperate situations.
Outreach Highlights
Essential Donations: Supplies including water, diapers, kettles, wall clocks, thermometers, canisters, and cot sheets were donated to enhance the care environment for infants.
