Event: Love for Women Behind Roasted Plantain (1st & 2nd Editions)

Location: East Legon (Shiashie and American House), Accra, Ghana

Objective:

To extend the love of God to women who sell roasted plantain, supporting them with gifts and words of encouragement while affirming their value and importance in their communities.

Summary:

In March 2024, the Love Jar Foundation reached out to women engaged in selling roasted plantain at Shiashie and American House in East Legon. This outreach was part of the Foundation’s mission to spread the love of God, particularly to women in labor-intensive and often overlooked roles. Through this initiative, the Foundation provided gifts of love and shared messages of hope, reminding these hardworking women of their worth and God’s unfailing love for them.

Outreach Highlights:

 Gift Distribution:

 Each woman received a love jar box filled with surprises.

 Specially designed aprons were gifted to the women, adding value to their daily activities.

 The Love Jar team spoke to the women about the love of God, sharing His Word to affirm their importance in His eyes.

 Prayers were shared with the women, along with words of encouragement to uplift their spirits.
