Event: Love for NICU (3rd Edition)

Location: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana

Objective:

To support the mothers, babies, and dedicated staff of the NICU at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital by providing essential items, offering encouragement, and sharing the love of God.

Summary:

As part of their ongoing involvement in the #FriendsofNICU campaign, the Love Jar Foundation visited the NICU at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on December 16, 2023. This visit was focused on addressing the specific needs of the NICU while fostering an atmosphere of care, joy, and positivity. The Foundation brought meaningful donations of cot sheets to support the care of the babies in the unit. In addition, the nursing staff was treated to a well-deserved lunch, acknowledging their tireless dedication and efforts in caring for the fragile lives within the NICU.

 Donation of Essential Items: The Love Jar Foundation donated 12 boxes of cot sheets, meeting a crucial need in the specialized NICU environment.
