Objective


To educate adolescent girls on the importance of first aid, equip them with practical first aid skills, and provide essential first aid materials to promote safety and well-being in their daily lives.

Summary


The Love Jar Foundation undertook a meaningful outreach to Abia D.A Basic School in Prampram, Ghana, with the mission of equipping young girls with essential first aid knowledge and materials. The initiative aimed to empower them with life-saving skills that could be used in emergencies, fostering confidence and self-reliance.

Approximately 50 students participated in the outreach, engaging in interactive sessions led by trained medical professionals. Each student was introduced to fundamental first aid concepts, such as how to treat minor wounds, stop bleeding, and handle burns. The session also included practical demonstrations on proper bandaging techniques and emergency response procedures.

To further support the students, the Love Jar Foundation distributed first aid kits containing bandages, antiseptic wipes, adhesive plasters, cotton wool, gloves, and disinfectants. These supplies were provided to ensure they had the necessary tools to apply their newfound knowledge effectively.
